Heralding the arrival of spring here yesterday was not the traditional robin, but a hangover from winter in the form of a life-sized snowman. The polar holdover was constructed at 1206 Washtenaw, complete with the customary carrot nose.

The snow came from the ice-making plant of a local dairy and the 15-month-old daughters of Dr. and Mrs. Irving H. Anderson of 1014 Lincoln Ave. came upon the unseasonal apparition unawares.
