CHELSEA'S WINNING SHEEP JUDGING TEAM: These three agricultural students and their teacher at Chelsea High school won the team judging competition at the C. Lemen & Sons farm in Webster township yesterday. Loren Koengeter, a member of the team, is shown holding the purebred Shropshire lamb he was given as a prize. Teams from seven high schools competed. Chelsea Youths Take State Titles: Members of Chelsea High school's Future Farmers chapter won state championships in potato and dairy judging at the recent state FFA convention, it was learned during the past week. Their instructor and adviser, Roy Wallis, is shown at the left and the tree boys nearest him were members of the champion dairy judging team, while the three at the right were potato judging champions. From left to right, back row, are Veryl Haflay (?), ? Merkel, Francis Hafner, Robert Swartzmiller and Warren Hoover. Standing in front with Mr. Wallis is Max Hepburn. Merkel won first place in the state in individual dairy judging, and Hepburn placed third.
