Ernest August Siefert, self-taught artist of the primitivist school, points out to a detail in one of his brightly colored water color paintings. The picture is of St. Paul's Church, Aurora, Ill. The Ann Arbor resident, who is a masseur by trade, lives and works at 513 E. William St. He and another artist from Detroit are believed to be the only two known primitive painters in Michigan.
