MEET THE CHAMPS: Since 1923 Ann Arbor High has been trying to go through a football season undefeated. Since 1935 a Five-A league championship has evaded its grasp. This year, however, both facts were accomplished when the Pioneers swept to a record of seven victories and one tie. Here are the boys responsible for it. COACH TAYLOR'S FIRST SEASON WAS UNBEATEN ONE: For the first time since 1923 the Ann Arbor high football team shown here swept to an unbeaten season under command of its new coach, Laverne Taylor. It also won the Five-A league championship. The season's record was seven victories and a tie.
