Businessmen's Project: This 300-foot-long landscaped area is an attractive addition in front of the East Ann Arbor Shopping Center at Packard and Platt Rds. The landscaped area has 10 flowering crab trees, four large clumps of bushes and such perennial flowers as mums, zinnias, daisies, petunias and crocuses. Both the owners and employees of the Community Drug and East Ann Arbor Hardware provided the plantings and did the major share of the work. Albert J. Coudron, owner of Community Drug, said plans are to extend the landscaping another 300 feet to the east, where he plans to plant 200 tulip bulbs this fall, with the flowers to be in bloom during the next spring season.
