CLUB ANNIVERSARY LUNCHEON: A group of women living in Ann Arbor township 25 years ago organized informally as the Needlecraft Club when they found some of the neighbors of long standing leaving to live elsewhere. The bond of preserving the friendships through the years in spite of departures has kept alive interest in the gatherings of the women, and they celebrated the silver anniversary of their group at a luncheon yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frank Robinson on Geddes Ave. In the party above, from left to right, are the members, Mrs. Charles D. Koch of Earhart Rd.; Mrs. Robinson; Mrs. Chester Martin, Warren Rd.; Mrs. Albert DeWolf, Whitmore Lake; Mrs. Fred Kapp, Warren Rd.; Mrs. John Quackenbush, Plymouth Rd.; and Mrs. George Miller of E. Ann St.

SCHOOL TEACHERS BRIEFED: Teachers in the Ann Arbor Public Schools here get the "low down" on school activities during the coming year from School Supt. Otto W. Haisley, during an all-faculty meeting held yesterday afternoon in Pattengill Auditorium. Like their students, the teachers seem a little shy about taking front row seats. First full day of school is scheduled for next Monday, although classes will meet for a half day on Friday. Approximately 5,000 students are expected from the Ann Arbor area.
