WASHTENAW COUNTY'S ninth chapter of the Junior Deputy League formally began Tuesday evening as Lester M. Philbin, director and Sheriff Erwin L. Klager presented 10 members of the new Rawsonville unit with belts and badges. To the left, Sheriff Klager is formally deputizing Rawsonville member, Willoughby Pritty. This is one of a number of units in the county.

With the leaders, Mrs. Naomi Bennett and Mrs. Faye Cooper, Nancy McCartney, Shirley Padelford, Estha Pinter, Wilma Carver, Sherill and Sharon Roy, Donna Judy, and Linda Bennett are examining the press. A ninth girl, Edna Caswell, was absent. They found the teletype interesting.
