WELCOME SIGHT FOR ANN ARBOR MOTORISTS: Removal of the present Main St. pavement was started this morning in preparation for the repaving of the street between William and Catherine Sts. The Ann Arbor Construction Co. placed the power shovel in operation at William St. and the work will continue north toward Catherine.

Coming Down - Dave Miller (in foreground on left) and Jim Inman of RF Day Construction, move materials at the demolition site of the old Donuts Time building at 2030 W. Stadium Blvd. Tuesday afternoon. The building was torn down to make room for a new building that will house a full-service restaurant called Dimo's.
