Mrs. William Dickerman and her son, Charles, have an appropriate room in which to study a book on Japanese art...the Japanese room in their Brookside Dr. home. The floor is covered with the thick matting tatahi. The ancient chests and the screen in the background were brought back from Japan by the Dickermans. Mrs. Dickerman enjoys her collection of Chinese recipes.
