Yoder (left) was honored with his wife and Miss Emma Schmid, his secretary since 1938, at a banquet Saturday in the Michigan Union. Dr. Yoder began serving National Lutheran Council students at the University's Lutheran Student Center in 1932.

First Congregational Church has installed a plaque honoring the Rev. Leonard A. Parr, its minister emeritus who is now living in Evanston, Ill. The Rev. Mr. Parr served the church for 20 years. He will be in Michigan this weekend to speak at a Forefathers' Day Festival at 7 p.m. Sunday in the meeting house of North Congregational Church, 26275 Northwestern Highway at Lahser Rd., Southfield.
