Reparation March Begins - The procession of the "March of Reparation" turns onto E. Huron St. from S. State St. behind a banner held by clergymen. The banner was painted by sisters of St. Thomas Catholic School, many of whom also marched. The demonstration was sponsored by six church and civil rights groups. It ended with a prayer service at the County Building.

FISHing Buddies: The Rev. Donald Allen, Episcopal Chaplain to the Medical Community, introduces a FISH volunteer, Mrs. James M. Plumer (left) to Mrs. Waldo Carlson of Iron Mountain and her hospitalized son, Toby. Toby's family happens to be staying with relatives in town, but it's people like them that FISh are around to help. FISH volunteers, in one capacity, offer rooms to families of out-of-town patients when they are in Ann Arbor to visit their sick relatives. In a related capacity, too, FISH are friends for the patients (like Toby), whose families cannot be with them. Much of the FISHes' work is channeled to them by the Rev. Mr. Allen.
