THE REAL THING COULD HAPPEN: An attempt to illustrate what could happen to the 75-year-old present Courthouse, labelled a "firetrap" by the State Fire Marshal, is made by the Ann Arbor Junior Chamber of Commerce in a drive for support for the Courthouse proposals. A fire in the ancient Washtenaw Courthouse would consume thousands of the county's most vital records. The News Joins with the JCC in urging "yes" votes on the two proposals to finance a new, modern county building.
