Students 'Pitch In' Members of the St. Thomas High School Human Relations Club have been "pitching in" to do necessary repair work on the five-bedroom house. Some of them are (from left) Maria Theresa Velez, Joe Birmingham and Pat Byrne. Furniture, bedding and a washer and dryer have been contributed to the home which was purchased fro $19,000.

Home For Emergencies With Housing, Inc., a non-profit corporation, purchased this house at 346 E. Kingsley and has been providing emergency housing for low-income families. The group hopes to ultimately make the facility a home for youthful probationers when proper supervision has been obtained. Five families have lived in the home since May.
