GIRL SCOUTS ON FLIGHT TO NIAGARA FALLS: Ann Arbor's Wing Scout Troop of about 15 girls and adult chaperones are shown boarding a plane at Willow Run Airport this morning for a flying trip to Niagara Falls. The troop, known as Flight No. 1, will return to the city by plane tonight. They will be met on the Canadian side of the falls by a unit of Canadian Girl Guides who will lead a tour of the area. Mrs. James Korbein, left in front row, is the flight leader.

WING SCOUTS TAKE TO THE AIR: Six members of Ann Arbor Wing Scout Troop No. 7 took introductory plane rides over the city Saturday from the Ann Arbor Airport. The troop, a branch of the Girl Scouts interested primarily in aviation, calls itself the "Lucky Seven" Troop. Left to right, the troop members are Pat McFarland, 209 Pleasant Pl.; Ruthie Metzger, 1920 Dexter Ave.; Karen Overbeck, 212 Pleasant Pl.; Gail Kaiser, 1219 Elder Blvd.; Nancy Travis, 1809 Dexter Ave.; and Margie Hume, 812 Brown St. Troop leader is Mrs. Veda MacNabb. Saturday's half-hour flights (three scouts at a time) were piloted by Edward Kaiser.

Angell School Girl Scout Troop 120 is shown making dressing for the Ann Arbor Cancer Information Center which in turn gives them free to cancer patients who need them in the Ann Arbor area. The Scouts are one of 40 local groups who make dressings. Among the groups are the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, which last year made more than 5,000 dressings. A total of 50 patients were aided last year. The center also operates a loan closet which loaned items ranging from blankets to an oxygen mask to 20 patients last year. Mrs. Francis Wessinger is dressings chairman, assisted by Mrs. J. Gordon McDonald. The Ann Arbor Unit of the American Cancer Society is conducting a $7,000 fund drive here this month.
