A-HUNTING WE WILL GO: Girl Scouts take off on treasure hunt for bird nests, native leaves and flowers. Winner gets a bag of popcorn. Twenty-six hundred acres of the Waterloo Reservation provide plenty of room for hiking. Rates are $15.00 a week at the Girl Scout Camp, which is assisted by Community Fund. The camp is split into five sessions.

Volunteers from the Bethel Toy Club, the Ann Arbor Police and the County Sheriff's Department, and Girl Scouts from the Huron Valley Council gathered at the home of Mrs. Nancy Anthony to wrap Christmas presents purchased with proceeds from the annual charity "Pig Bowl." HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Twelve-year-old Lena Lou Sturgill, a Girl Scout of Troop Seven at the Rackham School of Special Education in Ypsilanti, receives a piece of the Girl Scout national birthday cake from United Air Lines stewardess, Florence McCabe. The piece of cake, flown from Los Angeles yesterday, was presented to the troop in honor of its help during the past year to hunger-stricken children of Europe. Lena, who suffered an attack of infantile paralysis several years ago and her fellow troop members, all physically handicapped, were taken on a tour of the Mainliner by Capt. W. L. Fagen, nearest the door, and First Officer Price Downey.

JUNIOR-SENIOR GIRL SCOUT OFFICERS: New officers of the Girl Scouts junior-senior planning board are Mary Wheeler of Troop 3, president; Lois Michelfelder of Troop 65, treasurer; Ann Peterson of Troop 11, secretary; and Barbara Kuhn of Troop 11, vice-president. The planning board, started this year, is composed of a delegate and alternate from each troop of girls in seventh through 12th grades.
