New Courthouse From Air: Only fliers (and possibly the pigeons that infest downtown Ann Arbor) see Washtenaw county's new Courthouse from this angle. News Photographer Dale Fisher snapped the picture from an airplane as he flew over the building, approaching from the E. Huron St. side. Note how the new Courthouse surrounds the old one on three sides. Persons acquainted with downtown Ann Arbor will be able to pick out many other familiar landmarks. The Courthouse is scheduled to be dedicated this summer. The old building will be torn down.

Church Building Being Altered: The former Northside Baptist Church building at Broadway and Plymouth is being converted into a commercial building by new owners, Mr. and Mrs. Paul S. Bigby. Mrs. Bigby of the Treasure Mart said she will operate a wrapping and mailing service there, beginning about Oct. 1, and other space will be occupied by an ice skate exchange, yarn shop and card store. The building dates back to 1900.
