Awaiting Huron Homecoming Huron High School's 1971 Homecoming Court is awaiting the big day Friday, when the Homecoming game against Lansing Everett High School will be played. The game, to begin at 8 p.m. at Hollway Field, will be preceded by a parade at 7 p.m. Members of the court are (top to bottom) Diane Stone, 15, and Cathy Allum, 15, both sophomores; Sandy Heinemann and Karen Barhoff, both 16 years old and juniors at Huron, and Ellen Pullen, Karen Shipman and Jenny Vogel, seniors and all 17 years of age. The queen will be announced and crowned at halftime.

Getting Ready For Parade Working to complete their homecoming float in time for judging Friday are Huron High School seniors. They are building the float at the house of Jon Martin, 1565 Roxbury Rd. The floats will be judge at 4 p.m. on E. Keech Street between Main Street and Greene Street. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. with floats traveling east on Keech to Green, north on Green to Hoover Avenue, east on Hoover to Division Street, north on Divison to Liberty Street, west on Liberty to Main and south on Main to Pioneer High. Huron will play Adrian at the football game to begin at 7:30 p.m. Huron's homecoming dance will be held Saturday from 8 to midnight. (News Photo By Robert Chase)

Huron High Queen: Cherie Lockett gave in to excitement at the Huron High football game last night when it was announced at half-time that she had been chosen Homecoming Queen. Cherie, 17, is the daughter of School Board president and Mrs. Harold J. Lockett of 319 Brookside Dr. Cherie has been a member of the Huron High Modern Dance Club, Theatre Guild, Forensic Club and Cantando Choir. She was also publicity chairman for the high school Civil Rights Committee and ENACT group, and was a Student Council representative. The Huron High team won its homecoming game.
