John Smith, manager, capitalized upon the genuine work of burglars who netted several hundred dollars from a safe-cracking job there by surrounding the damaged vault with "whodunnit" material in the lobby area. SCENE OF AN ORDEAL: Christian Sautter, 74 (right) and his wife, Mrs. Ida Sautter, 73, inspect the battered lock on the closet door behind which they were imprisoned for 12 hours by robbers who invaded their home Tuesday. Mrs. Sautter's finger was slashed by a knife held by one of the bandits. Sautter whittled out a chunk of wood, enabling him to force the door open and gain the couple's freedom.
