They were among the 12 neighbors of Herman Alber's who assisted them during a threshing bee on Alber's farms at 4400 Weber Rd. Another is scheduled for Saturday.

Handling The Controls: Carl Hetler of 108 E. Henry, Saline handles the controls of a 50-year-old Port Huron Steam engine used during a threshing bee on the farm of Herman Alber, 4400 Weber Rd. Looking on is the owner of the steam engine, William Detweiler of Wayne. The steam engine will be used again Saturday when the threshing will be completed. About 25 persons visited the threshing session.
