MAYOR AT WORK: A brief ceremony yesterday marked the end of one phase of the construction on the new Whitmore Lake Rd. (US-23) bridge over the Huron River. Mayor William E. Brown, jr., shown in the center operating the rivet gun, drove the final rivet in the metal framework of the span. Assisting the mayor here is Richard Davidson, representing his father, L. A. Davidson of Lansing, contractor for the project. Silver rivets used in the ceremony were later presented to Mayor Brown and Davidson.
