Proposed Fill Site: This is the site of the proposed sanitary fill, suggested by Ann Arbor city officials, in Pittsfield township. Platt Rd. extends along the top, and Ellsworth Rd. runs down the left side. A dump is shown at the intersection, while the light area is gravel. The Pittsfield Township Board will discuss the proposal tonight.

'TREE'MENDOUS FIRE: Some 10,000 of the Christmas trees that made Ann Arbor homes festive during the holidays went up in a huge pyre of flames and smoke at the sanitary landfill in Pittsfield township yesterday. City crews collected the trees earlier this week in an effort to reduce the hazard of residents burning their own.
