Clarence White, Charles Raymond, and Charles Nelson (from left) view remains of burned-out trailer Raymond and Nelson's brother, Richard R., were using to transport clothes books and note files from Highland Park to the University. Two Navy veterans and seniors at the University lost their clothes, books and note files when the trailer in which they were bringing them from Highland Park to Ann Arbor burned on the Whitemore Lake Rd. (See photo.) The fire apparently was started by a cigarette tossed by a passing motorist.
