No one in Ann Arbor classrooms - least of all these students at Stone School - needed to be told that Thursday noon marked the beginning of summer vacation. Some could hardly wait to get out the door, as this picture by News photographer Robert Chase attests. The morning was marked in most schools by honors assemblies, last-minute goodbyes and report cards. Also, over 1,000 seniors received their diplomas. Coverage appears on Page A-3.
