WINTER'S FIRST SNOW BLANKETS CITY: Ann Arbor awoke this morning to find King Winter had made his first snowy rounds of the season. The event brought joy to the hearts of the younger generation but produced the usual driving and walking dangers. Snow continued falling during the morning, and the U. S. Weather Bureau said it would continue tonight and tomorrow.

SNOW REMOVAL - SMALL FRY STYLE: While most youngsters found this morning's damp, clinging snowfall ideal for play purposes, young Tommy French took on the familiar winter chore of sidewalk shoveling. The long-handled ice remover he's using may not be the best tool for the job, but Tommy is having a lot of fun anyway. He is the four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. French, of 2503 Brockman Blvd. (Other pictures on page 24.)
