CAN'T WAIT TO GET AT 'EM: Rough and ready Bob Weber, Ann Arbor High's hard-charging defensive guard whose dad, loquacious Wally Weber, earned football fame as a Michigan fullback great prior to acceptance of the Wolverine coaching duties he now performs, had a quick answer when his father asked him why he didn't go out for the more glamorous backfield positions instead of the line. "I'd rather be up front where I can get at 'em quicker," young Weber told his father. He'll be getting at 'em quickly again Friday night when Ann Arbor High plays Ferndale Lincoln at Ferndale.
