SALINE BAND GIVEN NEW UNIFORMS: New uniforms have been purchased for the 45 members of the Saline High school band. The band's two girl drum majors and two of the playing members of the organization are shown above. From left to right, they are: Joan Levliet, Bonnie Bearss, Edwin Lewis and Beverly Thomas. Miss Bearss plays the bassoon, clarinet and marimba and is director of the junior band. Edwin Lewis is shown with the Sousaphone donated to the band by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Alber as a memorial to a daughter who was killed in an automobile accident. The uniform includes royal blue coat, trimmed in gold, French blue trousers with two gold stripes on each leg, black Sam Browne belt and U. S. military cap in royal blue trimmed.
