All set for the start of nursery school are Anne Bradley Nixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde G. Nixon of 1202 Olivia, and Casey O'Conner, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. O'Conner of 2120 Charlton. Bradley, who is enrolled at the First Presbyterian Nursery, wears a red and blue print dress with a center tie under a navy jumper, accented by bright red tights. Pondering his second year at Island Country Day Play School is Casey in corduroy trousers, a cotton turtleneck shirt and a metal-buttoned ski sweater - just like the big kids! The scene is the Michigan League fountain.

Up in the air over his new school outfit is Steven O'Neal, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William O'Neal of 1615 Pear Street. He wears corduroy pants in the new "thick 'n thin" wale, color-matched with a ribbed turtleneck sweater. Sporting the fall look on the ground are Connie and Chris Jahnke, twin children of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Jahnke of 3121 Dexter Road. Connie wears the mini-version of the elongated sweater dress in gold with green edging and the new tassled kilt socks. Her brother is quite the young man in his mid-wale corduroy slacks, and a knit turtleneck shirt with the V-insert effect. Steven will enter second grade at Northside Elementary, while the twins will be second graders at St. Thomas School. The scene is the University's Diagonal on central campus.

Casual carefree clothes are the choice of fifth graders, Lori O'Neal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William O'Neal of 1615 Pear Street, and Suzanne Conlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Conlin Jr. of 2228 Medford. They wage a paddle ball contest in front of the University's Physics-Astronomy Building, with Lori in a plaid butterfly pleat dress accented with fishnet stockings. Suzanne selects the ever-popular plaid kilt, with the new twist of the kilt sweater and tassled kilt socks. Lori will attend Northside Elementary School, while Suzanne is a student at St. Francis School.

White of 1705 Shadford, practically bowls Keith Smillie over, as she slides down the bannister in front of Angell Hall in a wool jumper which features a plaid top, hip-hugging belt and a culotte-type skirt. She complements it with a gold turtleneck sweater and lace tights. Keith, the son of Dr. and Mrs. John W. Smillie of 1335 Fairlane, sports fine wale corduroy slim-cut levis, a V-neck cable sweater and a reversible nylon and wool jacket. Kathy and Keith will be seventh and eighth graders, respectively, at Tappan Junior High.
