Focal point of the library in the Robert K. Date home, 3430 East Huron River, is a wallpaper mural showing the Pan American World Airways flights. Mrs. Date used the mural colors, turquoise, copper and black, for her color scheme. The room, which also serves as a study for Mr. Date and a family game room, has polished fruitwood floors. The sofa is covered with black and white striped denim, and chairs near it are covered with copper-colored suede. Chairs at the dark oak game table are upholstered in black leather. Three walls are paneled in pine.

The many activities of an eight-year-old girl are reflected in the "Everything's Coming-Up Roses" bedroom of Allison Date. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert K. Date of 3430 East Huron River Drive, she selected the decor for her own room. Rose-patterned paper covers the walls and curtains; the bedspread and canopy are made of pink lawn. Carpeting is green and the furniture is white Colonial. A corner shelf displays her miniature horse collection. The Date home was recently featured on the annual tour of the Women's City Club.
