The Oriental chorus in the Michigan Union opera "Take a Number" should be an hilarious hit. It includes football players and other males not usually associated with light-footed performance. Here are Bob Bush, Whitey Fraumann, Tom Armstrong, Bob Ingalls and Jack Silcott practicing a number. The show opens next week.

OH! MY GOODNESS! PLEASE DON'T LOOK: This is a very intimate picture of a couple of Michigan's real red-blooded football players. At the left is that slashing, hard-charging end Harlan Fraumann. Helping him adjust his head-gear (Pardon, I mean turban) is Miss Emma Hirsch, wardrobe mistress of the Michigan Union Opera. Standing rather bewildered at the right is that rough-going Wolverine center and line-backer-upper, Bob Ingalls who just doesn't seem to know how to adjust the remainder of his equipment. Coach Crisler's boys are getting dressed for their oriental dance number in the Union Opera, "Take A Number" which will be presented at the Lydia Mendelssohn theater starting next week.

MAY OPPOSE FORMER TEAMMATES: Ensign Whitey Fraumann, end on the Michigan football team last fall, has returned to Ann Arbor for a few days to assist Lt. Harold E. Stoll in recruiting Wolverine students for the V-5 Wolverine Naval Air squadron. Fraumann, shown above, expects to report to Maj. Bernie Bierman at the University of Iowa within a couple of weeks to act as an instructor in the Naval air school conditioning program. It is quite likely that Fraumann will return here Nov. 28 as a member of the Iowa Commandoes when they oppose the Michigan eleven. Bob Flora, another member of the Michigan team last fall, already is stationed at Iowa. Local students interested in joining the Navy air corps can get in touch with Fraumann at the Theta Chi house, telephone 23236.
