LAUGHING AT OTHERS is an accepted part of winter fun. Half way up a hill, these three Traverse City lassies paused to watch some one else come down. In the past, winter sports at Traverse City have centered around skating, but the Traverse City Winter Sports Club is beginning to place emphasis on the development of facilities for skiing. One of the reasons for this is that Traverse City, with a wide reputation as a recreation center, receives scores of inquiries from ski enthusiasts in other states who want to come to Michigan for winter sports.
