The "closed" sign (foreground) meant what it said for the Cloverleaf Lunch, 1015 Broadway. Police said the car driven by Mimi Lee Matus, 17, of 555 E. William St., Ann Arbor, lurched forward when she hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal and jumped ahead, smashing into the front of the restaurant early today. A passenger, Paul Baker, 26, of Evanston, Ill. was taken to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, treated and released.
