HAPPY SCHOLARS: Leaving Braun School, at Whitmore Lake and Joy Rds., for the day are third-graders Margaret Rudelich and Paul Talayco, both seven years old, as sixth-graders Robert Cranson and Betsy Rudelich, both 11, pause on the porch to contemplate another hour in the pleasant atmosphere of the 110-year-old one-room school. Braun is one of a handful of rural schools still active in Washtenaw county.
