Viola Jarvis, 85 years old, paints her garage, June 1973 Photographer: Eck Stanger
Year:
1973
Published In:
Ann Arbor News, June 14, 1973
Caption:
Painting Garage 'No Big Job' For Her Viola Jaravis is going to be 85 on June 25, but that doesn't stop her from painting her garage at 311 County in Milan. "I painted my house five years ago, and I think I did a better job than the painter did!" she told The News. Every morning, bright and early, Mrs. Jarvis climbs her ladder to paint until it gets too hot. "It's just the garage I'm painting, that's no big job!" she says emphatically. "But I can't take the heat, so I have to start early." (News photo by Eck Stanger)
