PIONEER CAPTAIN TO BE GRID HANDY MAN: Jim Cartwright, lanky right end, who will captain this year's Ann Arbor High football team, apparently will be a football jack-of-all-trades this fall. He will play on both offense and defense, will kick off and kick conversion points, may do some of the punting, and is expected to grab a pass (above) once in a while or even more often.

WILL BE BUSY: Among Ann Arbor High seniors who will see plenty of action at Jackson tomorrow night is Fred Adams, a dependable end used mostly on offense. A good pass grabber, he's especially helpful on grabbing the short tosses that keep a drive alive.
