Epiphany Season Symbol A Moravian star marks the Epiphany season at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. The star, brought to this country by Christians from Moravia as a Christmas symbol, is a reminder of the star which guided the wise men to the Christ child. The theme of the Epiphany season, which began Jan. 6 and concluded Feb. 1, is the worldwide mission of the Christian church, and the star symbolizes this since its points reach out in all directions. Looking at the star are members of the four-year-old nursery and their teacher, from left, Danny Burkholder, John Westland, Joyce Collins, Mrs. Charles Hill and Eric Hammel. The star came to Trinity from the Moravian community near Winston- Salem, N.C. where college students make them.
