With a few hours of work already behind them, crews of the Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros. Circus ready the big top and menagerie for today's performance. The mile-long caravan arrived with the dawn at the show site on Dexter Rd. just west of Wagner Rd. By 8 o'clock, when these shots were taken, many children and a few adults were on hand for a "sneak preview" of the circus attractions. At the left, an elephant helps workmen hoist the canvas big top for the three-ring show ad , at right, the camels leave their home-on-the-road to the delight of young spectators
