'THE IDEAL THEATRE': Examining one of eight models of "The Ideal Theatre" prepared by leading architects are Paul Schweikher (left) head of the department of architecture at Carnegie Institute of Technology, and George C. Izenour, director of the electro-mechanical laboratory of the Yale School of Drama. The models and plans, prepared under a Ford Foundation grant, were displayed in Ann Arbor last week as part of the University's "Theatre And Main Street" conference. The conference drew theatre professionals and architects from Canada, Germany, France, England and many parts of the United States to discuss the future of community professional theatre. The conference was designated a "first" by the participants.
