A Spring Dinner: Pink ginger, yellow egg shreds and green parsley provide bright touches of color to a rice-based dish of Japanese origin, served in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chihiro Kikuchi. Ten-year-old Carl demonstrates his skill with chopsticks as his sister, Naomi, 13, pours tea for her mother, Mrs. Kikuchi. Japanese food is served weekly in the Kikuchi home. Upon these occasions, Mrs. Kikuchi likes to use Japanese dishes, given to her by her mother and shown here in the picture.
