Japan Trip Remembered: A group of eighth grade students from Ann Arbor shared their insights and memories of their trip last July to Hikone, Japan, during a display and discussion presentation Thursday at the Ann Arbor Public Library. Hikone is a sister city to Ann Arbor. Carlos Schonfeld, above, of Forsythe Intermediate School, demonstrates a common Japanese toy he obtained during his stay in Hikone, while fellow Forsythe student Tuere Carter, displays some of the gifts and objects she brought back from the Orient. Carter's mother, Stephanie and brother Richard, 8, look on.
