"An American flag which has flown over the U.S. capitol is presented by Rep. Marvin L. Esch, R-Ann Arbor (right). to members of the first delegation scheduled to visit Ann Arbor's new sister city in Japan. Receiving the flag is Mrs. Tom Hagerty, wife of the person scheduled to make the presentation on July 18 to the mayor of Hikone City. Making the July trip to Japan will be the 100 members of the Musical Youth International band and choir. Others in the picture are (left to right): Joan Hagerty, Louist Stout Jr. and Neil Perrault. Stout and Miss Perrault represented MYI."
