PRELIMINARY TO ESTABLISHING LOCAL RADIO STATION: In a cabin at Oak Grove, three miles west of Ann Arbor, Arthur Solbrig, New York radio engineer, is shown gathering data necessary to obtain a broadcasting franchise for a proposed commercial station here. The receiving instrument at the left is known as a field intensity meter. A recording device is at the right.
