It was something of a surprise (the weatherman had said cloudy with "possible flurries"), but even those who profess to be "tired of winter" had to admit the city has seldom been prettier. This scene was photographed on Berkshire Rd.

WIDENING WORK: Progress continues on work to widen and improve S. Main St. from the railroad crossing near Madison St. to Stadium Blvd. The work shown is in the 60s block of S. Main, part of the street portion which will be widened to 44 feet. Most of the street, however, will be widened to 40 feet.
