Nielsen (right) accepts from Mrs. Edward Stasheff, president of the Friends of the Ann Arbor Public Library, one of the $100 worth of books donated for use in the Washtenaw County Juvenile Home. Watching the transaction are Janet White (left), president of the University of Michigan Library Staff Association, and Chief Librarian Homer Chance. The books were paid for by the association and the Friends of the Public Library. Each paid half the costs.
