His plate - bearing the new slogan "Water Wonderland" - is sold to him by Mark M. Mayne, manager of the office. The 1954 plates feature maize numbers on a blue background.

FRONT PLATES NOW: Kent Gillingham of 1531 Avondale Ave. attaches a 1957 auto license tag to the front bumper of his car. The new tags went on sale at secretary of state offices in the county last week. It is the first time since 1944 that two license plates per vehicle are being issued. State law requires that plates be on the front and rear.
