Stadium Blvd. and Jackson Ave. The store was opened Thursday, when crowds jammed a 2,000-car parking lot to visit and make purchases at the new $500,000 facility stocked with an estimated $1,000,000 in goods.

On Way To Texas Ten members of the Free Methodist Church of Ann Arbor are on their way to San Antonio, Tex. where they will work with four Latin American churches. Mrs. Lynne Larmee, from left, Pam Householder and Peter Young load traveling gear onto one of several vans which left from the Westgate Shopping Center parking lot. Nearly 50 Free Methodists from southern Michigan involved in Volunteers in Action, are making the 10-day trip to San Antonio, where they will help the churches make repairs, conduct a Bible school and evangelistic services.

McCollough, 3, and his dog, "Snowball," took honors in the best-dressed phase. With them is Dan McCully, manager of the Kresge Store at the shopping center. Kevin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McCollough of 2824 Briarcliff. Winners in the best-trained area were Wendy Walters, 9, and her dog, "Duchess." Wendy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Walters of 311 Glenwood. There were some 40 entries in the animal circus sponsored by the Westgate Merchants Association. The pets included a baby bat, iguana, coati-mondi and stag beetle.
