Year:
1963
Published In:
Ann Arbor News, June 6, 1963
Caption:
Outfoxed: Panting from the heat and the embarrassment of being in a fine fix for a fox, this young Sir Reynard is the temporary pet of (left to right) Pat, Bruce and Laura Pennington, 1906 Peppermill Way. The children, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Parker O. Pennington III, plan to give the fox to William B. Stapp, special instructor of conservation in the Ann Arbor public schools, when the animal is a little older. Pat and Bruce took the fox to Eberwhite School yesterday.

Big, Little Giraffes at Stone School, May 1969
Year:
1969
Published In:
Ann Arbor News, May 25, 1969
Caption:
The giraffe has become a well-known friend to kindergarteners in Miss Sally Pryce's class at Ann Arbor's Stone School. The children made the large giraffe and the little ones too with very little assistance, out of paper- mache. The giraffe was studied by the children because of its unusual characteristics, such as its method of drinking water and lack of a voice box. In the photo area (from left) Lisa Lang, Aaron Preston, Pat Peters, Sam Cox and Tommy Wilson.
