GOLD STAR MEMORIAL WREATH: A representative of the Gold Star Mothers lay a memorial wreath at the foot of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at the entrance to Forest Hill Cemetery. The ceremony took place after last night's Memorial Day parade in downtown Ann Arbor. Police estimated that between 10,000 and 15,000 persons witnessed the event.

'U' HIGH SPONSORS PLANE: Moyer Bleekman (left), and Nelson Blanchard, eighth grade students at University High school dedicated a Stinson ambulance plane, which the school purchased through bond sales, in ceremonies held at the University of Michigan golf course yesterday afternoon. The two boys won the privilege of sponsoring the plane for their superior work in the two-week bond campaign. At the left of the boys is Julius Peter, who represented the Stinson Aircraft Co.
