THIS IS JERUSALEM: A few scattered houses, a store and two nearby farms make up the village of Jerusalem. John K. Bingham 124 years ago platted the village at Jerusalem Rd. and Freer Rd. He built a sawmill nearby in 1832 on Mill Creek, and a grist mill was located in the village about 1860, giving rise to hope that Jerusalem would grow into a thriving center. Its current population is about 20 persons.
