Maddy, director of the Ann Arbor civic orchestra, is pictured here at work rehearsing with a section of the 50-piece musical group in preparation for the fifth annual "Evening of Ballet," scheduled for Jan. 23 and 24 in the High school auditorium. This year the orchestra with its 50 members approaches full symphony instrumentation. Max Aupperle is president, Charles Staubach is concert-master, Margaret Forsythe is secretary-treasurer, and Philip Potts is manager of the group.
