STILL A GAG BECAUSE THIS IS STILL AMERICA: Kiwanians glamorized their part in the current War Loan campaign at their meeting yesterday, when seven Washtenaw County special sheriff's auxiliaries gave the boys a taste of invasion with their luncheon in the Allenel hotel. As a chaser to the mock holdup, which was staged by Frank Kamman to occur as a surprise to the members during his War Bond selling pep-talk, the chastened Kiwanians each took an oath to sell $1,000 in Bonds each. The auxiliaries (standing from left to right) are: Bert Fleming, Elliot Bjork, Kenneth McAdam, Gordon Brindle, Elmer Lapointe, John Rae and Adrian Devogd. Seated are (left to right): V. O. Nelson, Lou Hollway, Joseph Buhr, jr., Mr. Kamman and Jack Carver.
